“Having had a good experience from the first time I used PSP* (which was in 1998), I have consistently used them in finding Contract opportunities.Right back to that initial introduction, the team at PSP* have always provided me with a high quality of service. I was a little naïve back in 1998, it was the first time I experienced the Contract world. Fortunately, the first call I made into PSP* was taken warmly, I was treated with respect, and then provided with professional advice and support. I came into PSP*, met a couple of Consultants who were - and in one case still is - my point of contact. We’ve become friends.
I am fortunate that since 1998, I’ve not had any payment issues. My invoices are sent in and I’m paid on time. No issues and no worries. This was an area that concerned me when I started in the Contract environment, can I trust someone to get this done on time without me chasing? I’ve not had to worry about this when dealing with PSP*.
I have been impressed on how they get the right balance between managing their Clients needs and their Contractors interest, I would definitely recommend working through PSP if you get the opportunity”.
Business Analyst - Gloucestershire - Contractor with PSP* since 1998.
I have been in full-time employment since 1971, starting off in the Banking and Financial sector then slowly phased across into IT. I made this move in 1991 and worked initially on a Permanent basis, then Contract, then Permanent, and now back in Contract.
I’ve been using PSP* and their services since 1997. They were referred to me via a colleague who knew I was looking for new employment. I had used a couple of other IT recruitment agencies before, these experiences weren’t bad or good. They were just average.
I called PSP*, spoke to them about where I was in my career and what employment I was looking for. The Consultant listened to me, took notes, offered ideas and advice, and said PSP* would keep in touch and would only put forward employment opportunities that were suitable to my skills and experiences.
The phone rang a couple of days later, a position was now available with one of their Clients and was I interested? Yes. I was.
So, after running through the job spec, highlighting significant aspects of the job, and waiting for my agreement, PSP* put me forward for this position. I was short-listed, provided interview tips/advice by my PSP* point of contact, attended the interview and offered the job.
Seems simple now, but at the time it was a stressful period. My PSP* contact was excellent, they maintained commitment to my cause, kept in touch with me during the process, and were always available if I had a question.
PSP* is a company I've been happy to use for the last 10 years, and will be for the next 10.
